Speed Training for Soccer Players

Let’s face it, the best athletes on any team are the fastest athletes.

The team with the most speed is almost always going to be more successful. The fact that you’re reading this right now tells me that you know this is true and that your athletes are not as fast as you want them to be.

But how do you make them faster?

After all, like many coaches, maybe you were told that you can’t teach speed. That an athlete is either born with it or they’re not, right?

Wrong!

Arguably the biggest myth in all of sports is that you can’t coach speed or teach athletes how to run faster or make serious improvements to their agility and change of direction quickness. Now all the success of the athletes on your team is dependent on learning sport specific skills instead of developing the foundation of success in almost every sport, for every athlete: SPEED.

Somewhere along the way someone lied to you and told you something that simply isn’t true. In fact, more and more people are quickly finding out that quite the opposite is true.

You can’t afford to keep using the same old excuse that your team just ‘isn’t fast enough’ or that the other team ‘has too much speed.’

Here’s the problem:

Most resources that talk about speed development are long boring books filled with painful scientific explanations that just give description after description on the mechanics of running or have strange looking black and white diagrams of how to do drills.

If you’re anything like me, you have too much on your plate to struggle through a textbook in order to develop your team’s speed.

Developing Explosive Speed and Agility
in Your Athletes is EASY!

It really is. It’s just a matter of applying simple techniques to your program that you’ve probably been overlooking. All you have to do is modify your approach.

The secret to unlocking dormant speed within all of your athletes is very simple.

The key is to develop their overall athletic ability by developing all the elements required for success in any sport: speed, agility, strength, coordination, power, flexibility and conditioning.

I understand if you’re a little bit hesitant to believe that speed can be taught this easily. After all, some people aren’t ‘naturally fast’ so the safe assumption is that they are doomed to always be slow.

But think of it like this. While it’s true not every athlete can be an Olympic 100 meter runner, most athletes have never been taught how to run or move correctly, if at all. That means that by making their weaknesses into strengths, they can operate at a much higher percent of their full potential.

Like I said, I understand that you might be a bit skeptical. But thousands of coaches have taken that ‘leap of faith’ and are amazed at the results they’ve gotten.
